Hi, I'm Rufus Zero - UK based artist specialising mainly in semi-abstract architectural paintings.
I work mostly with watercolour and inks, using suggestion rather than realism as I feel it allows the viewer the freedom to interpret whatever they like from my work. Everyone sees the world in their own way and I have never been one to conform to anyone else's opinions or rules, so why should you?
I have been an artist for as long as I remember but fell in love with watercolour fairly recently after I discovered that it feels like a living, breathing entity and very much has a life of its own. This independence definitely reflects my own semi-nomadic nature and love of adventure, so I feel that my personality definitely becomes part of every piece I create.
I am also a writer and musician (amongst too many other things).

If you are interested in commissioning an original painting please use the contact page and provide a brief overview of the subject matter. Pricing can vary but please bear in mind that each commissioned piece is created bespoke, using only the highest quality art materials and papers and will be a 100% genuine Rufus Zero original, therefore will be a considerably higher price than a Giclée reproduction print. A cheap painting isn't good, and a good painting isn't cheap!
